A PPA is a solar contract where the homeowner doesn’t own the solar system — instead:
A third-party company installs and owns the system.
The homeowner agrees to buy the power it generates, usually at a fixed or escalating rate per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
It's not a loan — the homeowner pays only for the electricity used from the panels, not for system ownership.
